In every California destination, I seek out the best Mexican food. The cuisine just makes me happy. My test: good margaritas, fresh and delicious salsa, and good quality ingredients. El Palomar downtown has all three and even a delightful atmosphere for any type of meal. It’s really like three restaurants in one: fine dining tables in the front, sports bar in the back great for happy hour, and a taco bar on the side where you can feast on freshly made tortillas and warm crispy chips.
