We fell in love with the big bold reds at Chateau Davell in El Dorado County. It may sound French but it is all American and family is behind everything they do, including the atristic labels painted by the winemaker himself. Notice other family members adorned on the labels behind the Green Man.
The Green Man has a cult following. Beneath the brooding label is an equally captivatingly bold cabernet sauvignon with full rich ripe cherry on a broad palate with a hint of vanilla that lingers.
They’ve also got a great venue for fun. A pizza oven warms the patio while live music was setting up on a lovely sunny afternoon. What a great way to wine down the week!
