For honest Italian style wines, check out the oldest continuously operating winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains: Bargetto Winery. Currently in their third generation, the Bargetto family makes all their wines on their property in Soquel since 1917. The younger generation has upgraded equipment but the Italian varietals remain.
The Italian spirit remains as well. They have a beautiful deck where I’m told they host fun events pairing their wine with live music and delicious food.
